Perfect for dog walks, morning strolls and fun-filled afternoons, the beach is ideal for the whole family. Out in the bay, you’ll spot the art installation called ‘The Couple’ by artist Sean Henry.
As well as a gorgeous beach, the bay also has an array of wildlife including dolphins, seals, whales and seabirds making it ideal for nature lovers. The town is also home to a Seaside Links golf course so you can have a game or two during your stay.
There are a number of bus stops throughout Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. The Arriva North East 35 route travels between Morpeth and Woodhorn with stops in High Market, Ashington and North Seaton. If you want to visit Newcastle, you can hop on the X21.

Guests have access to the full property and the keys are accessed via a secure key safe box.
There is free on street parking outside of the property.
lovely and spacious property only 5 mins walk to town and beaches
The mattress on the double bed gave both of us sore backs, the sofa was more comfortable.
This is a lovely house in Newbiggin. It is very clean, bright, and comfy with high-quality appliances including a large TV with Netflix. The property is just a short walk to the beach and that there is a very convenient corner store just a few feet away as well as a pizza restaurant that serves a pretty decent pizza. We often stay in Newbiggin and this is one of the best houses so far so I would definitely recommend it.
The single beds are not comfortable
Good location. Central to visit lots of places in Northumberland.
The house is spacious and the facilities are great.
It’s situated in an area that didn’t feel like a holiday home area. it’s also a few doors down from a pizza take away and pretty noisy on the Saturday night.
Location good for Newbiggin. Good facilities in the house, except for the wifi which was a problem sorting out.
Only one tea towel for a three day visit in an otherwise well equipped kitchen, needed at least three tea towels for that period.
The wifi did not work at first, and there were no details about it apart from the access code. I phoned up and was told I would get a phone call, which came eventually the following day. In the meantime I found the hub, switched it on, rebooted it, which some paeople may not have been able to do, and I got no help with it.
it was ideal location for our Northumbrian visit
it could have been ideal with 2 toilets
Pleasantly surprised as the house is bigger than the pictures are able to show. More than enough to allow us to keep the house clean and tidy and so close to the beautiful, tranquil and very clean sandy beach where we took the dogs at least twice a day! Great for a relaxing break.
The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped . Really close to the beach . One of the best equipped self catering homes we have stayed in .
Lighting in lounge was a bit inadequate . Otherwise absolutely nothing to dislike.
Lovely central location,5 mins to a very clean beach.comfy ,well furnished with everything you could need
On street parking wasn’t easy but a car park with 50 yards fitted the bill
The house is 3 mins walk from a lovely beach and very comfortable, great place to stay for a family holiday. Fast internet was definitely a bonus as I had to work for a few days while I was there. If you are coming with a dog, there is a lovely beach north of the Maritime Centre about 10 mins walk away, and the south part of the main beach is also dog friendly. The house has a charming duck themed decorating scheme and we enjoyed counting them!
The house was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay, we were really impressed - the courtyard was well kept and nice and roomy enough to sit out in the sun. There is a local shop just on the road with everything you need. Plus beach only 10 mins walk away! We used the house as a base and visited holy island, Bamburgh and the Farne islands which were all 50mins drive away.
The local facilities in the village do need a little updating if planning to just stay locally - the local pubs were a little run down but the beach & the lovely fish & chip shop made up for that!
We really enjoyed our stay and the accommodation was of an excellent standard, very clean and lived up to its description. Very well equipped which was very much appreciated and isn’t always the case in other holiday properties. Really good to be so near to the beach (a 5 minute walk) - a real selling point. It was a great base to explore Northumberland. Newbiggin has all you need - the Flaming Pizza is great for take away and we enjoyed a nice evening at the small craft ale bar (opens Thursday - Sunday evenings).
Great location; ideal for popping down to the seafront and exploring the local area.
The house is exactly as described, really close to the beach and a convenience store. We mainly needed a place to rest and clean in the area, the house served it’s purpose nicely. There are not a lot of restaurants, so prepare to cook meals yourself or book somewhere nearby. You might need to bring your own toilet paper as you will be provided with 2 rolls only regardless of the number of people or length of stay, no extra available.
Good location. Lovely house, very comfortable.
Clean and comfortable. Good location
Fantastic two bedroom house with modern beautifully designed furnishings and all new up to date appliances. The location is quiet but also within a 2 minute walk from the beach, there are shops in easy walking distance and plenty of on street or free public car parking eight outside.
Absolutely amazing accommodation, really clean and well equipped for a family stay. Really well furnished, very stylish, beds are comfortable. Towels and bedding provided. Travel cot and high chair also available in the property which was a bonus. Kitchen is really well equipped. Owners really helpful and responded quickly to emails.
Location is perfect as literally few minutes Walk to the beach. Local shop at the end of the Road.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would def consider returning. Highly recommend.
It was perfect in every way.
Clean, warm, big living room and everything you need.
Stayed for 4 nights while working in nearby power station, nice clean house got everything you need
Definitely will stay again
Don’t be put off by fact that this house is on a little street that looks a little run down, first impressions can be deceiving.. It is 2 mins walk from a lovely beach, friendly neighbours and locals, plus so much to explore in the local area.
Inside has been completed renovated and is lovely, maximising the space and has everything you would need for 4 people. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and fantastic central heating kept us very snug.
Touches of flowers lovely and very responsive host. The back door broke and they had it fixed first thing next morning.
Thanks for a lovely stay that exceeded our expectations
Lovely home, very spacious and in immaculate condition, nice quiet area with short 2 minute walk to the sea. Our host was available at all times in case we needed anything but all information was put together in a booklet in the home so we didn’t need to contact them. Had a lovely time and would stay again.
